Set amongst rolling hills covered in vines on historic Seppeltsfield Road, boutique hotel The
Louise, and its restaurant, Appellation, are one of Barossa Valley’s most renowned
accommodation and dining offering. Executive chef Ryan Edwards sources 85 per cent of the
produce he uses in the Barossa Valley and South Australia, in addition to baking bread on-site
and curing smallgoods. The Louise has 15 luxurious suites on site and offers bespoke itineraries
that can incorporate a number of exclusive food and wine experiences, including starting the
day in the nearby national park with a picnic breakfast, complete with kangaroos. Cooking
classes are on the agenda, as is the opportunity to attend a wine blending class at Penfolds to
produce your own blend, or enjoy a private tour and tasting with award-winning sixth-
generation winemaker Damien Tscharke in his cellar.
